HARRISBURG – The loved ones of Pennsylvania’s more than 400 missing persons now have at their disposal a tool that is described as vital for keeping memories alive, thanks to legislation co-authored by state Reps. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) and Dave Millard (R-Columbia) that has been signed into law.

While the majority of missing persons cases get resolved rather quickly, Pennsylvania currently has approximately 400 such cases where investigators are still looking for answers. Legislation authored by state Reps. Lynda Culver (R-Northumberland/Snyder) and David Millard (R-Columbia) would provide another tool to help law enforcement reduce that number.

HARRISBURG – Rep. David Millard (R-Columbia) today in Harrisburg voted for Senate Bill 255, the General Appropriations portion of the state budget, which was approved by the House of Representatives. The 2021-22 Pennsylvania budget would spend $39 billion in General Fund dollars, and $1 billion in federal relief funds, to fund the core functions of government services and invest in jobs, infrastructure and education, all while avoiding any new or increased taxes.

HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf today issued his proposal for Pennsylvania’s 2021-22 budget. The governor has proposed a budget of $40.2 billion, which is an increase of $3 billion, or 8.2% over the 2019-20 budget. Focal points of the governor’s proposal included a 46% increase in Personal Income Tax (PIT) rates, an increased minimum wage and a severance tax on natural gas production.

The purpose of this funding is to provide financial relief and assistance to first responder organizations that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 mitigation measures and have lost revenues over the last several months.

HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 1108, which would distribute approximately $2.6 billion in federal relief funds throughout Pennsylvania’s counties as well as across various state government departments. Of that total, $625 million is allocated to 60 Pennsylvania counties who have not yet received funds directly from the federal government. Rep.
