HARRISBURG – Rep. David Millard (R-Columbia), in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Bloomsburg Service Center, will be hosting a spotted lanternfly seminar and training session on Friday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 702 Sawmill Road in Bloomsburg.

The event is sponsored by PennAG. Training will be conducted by Tyler R. Bettinger, a plant industry inspector technician from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

“It’s important for Pennsylvanians to know how problematic these insects are to our environment and our ecosystems,” said Millard. “I’m proud to host this event to spread the knowledge that the Department of Agriculture has to offer.”

Those who wish to attend should RSVP by Feb. 17 by calling Millard’s district office at 570-387-0246.
