Area Fire Departments Awarded $190,000 in State Grant Funding, Millard Says
HARRISBURG – Rep. David Millard (R-Columbia) today announced that 16 volunteer fire departments in the 109th legislative district have been awarded approximately $190,000 in state grant funding from a grant program administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

“Our volunteer first responders risk their lives to protect ours in our most desperate moments, but they also spend a significant amount of time fundraising in order to afford the equipment and training they need to do their jobs well,” said Millard. “I’m grateful for these grants to our local volunteer fire and ambulance companies so they can use these funds to best serve the needs of their communities.”
