Boback, Everett and Millard Remind Residents about Marcellus Shale Meetings

Reps. Karen Boback (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Wyoming), Garth Everett (R-Lycoming) and David Millard (R-Columbia) are reminding residents about three meetings hosted by the Columbia County Land Owners Coalition regarding drilling into the Marcellus shale.

 

The meetings will take place on Thursday, Jan. 28, in the Benton High School auditorium, located at 400 Park Street in Benton.  The meeting times will be broken up by region as follows:

 

  • 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. – Fairmount/Luzerne.
  • 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Ross and Columbia above Routes 254 and 239.
  • 8:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. – Columbia below Routes 254 and 239.

Though the meeting times are scheduled by region, all meetings are open to the public.

 

The event does not require an RSVP, but in the case of inclement weather, participants should visit www.columbiacoalition.org to check the status of the meeting.
