5/1/2018
BERWICK – Rep. David Millard (R-Berwick) will host a drug abuse awareness forum intended for both children and adults, led by medical professionals and local experts, on Wednesday, May 9, from 6-8 p.m. at the Catawissa Fire Hall, 400 South St., Catawissa.

The forum will provide information about drug abuse, the opioid crisis and ways to avoid drug addiction. Speakers will include Jeremy Reese, Columbia County coroner; Dr. William Rakauskas; Dr. Joseph Valdez; Jason Hoch, pharmacist with Geisinger-Bloomsburg; and a representative from a local rehabilitation facility.

“This forum will provide practical information for members of our community about the opioid and heroin epidemic ravaging the Commonwealth,” said Millard. “Many productive conversations have stemmed from the forums we’ve offered in the past several months and I look forward to continuing the discussion in Catawissa.”

The forum is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. For more information, call Millard’s district offices at (570) 759-8734 or (570) 387-0246.
