Orange Township to Receive $325,000 for Sewage Treatment Plant, Says Millard

HARRISBURG – Rep. David Millard (R-Berwick) today announced a $325,000 grant will be awarded to Orange Township for the purchasing and rehabilitation of the Woods Edge Estates Sewage Treatment Plant.

“Orange Township has been tasked with a substantial undertaking regarding the management of the Woods Edge Estates Sewage Treatment Plant, and I am pleased to see funds being allocated for this important project,” said Millard.

Funds allocated will support the project which includes the purchase of the Woods Edge Estates Sewage Treatment Plant, land, sewer lines and manholes; repairs and upgrades to the facility; and the demolition of the current control building and construction of a new lab and control building.

The PA Small Water and Sewer funds are allocated through the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
