Millard to Host Expo Focused on Crimes Against Seniors
BERWICK – Rep. David Millard (R-Berwick) is inviting all Columbia County senior citizens and their families to participate in his Crimes Against Senior Expo on Thursday, July 23. The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the Berwick High School auditorium. Admission is free.

“Every year, across Pennsylvania and the United States, senior citizens fall victim to consumer fraud,” Millard said. “I encourage seniors, and those caring for senior loved ones, to attend my expo, learn about the latest scams and how to avoid becoming a victim, and other important consumer information.”

At 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., Janene Holter, senior supervisory special agent for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, will be speaking on crime prevention and the latest scams. Several local law enforcement organizations will be on hand to meet with residents throughout the event.

Also, between 9 a.m. and noon, the Berwick Police will be accepting unused or expired drugs for disposal at no cost.

Doors will open at 8:45 a.m., and no reservations are necessary. For more information on the event, residents should call Millard’s district office in Bloomsburg at 570-387-0246, in Berwick at 570-759-8734, or visit
