Millard to Host Artist Reception at Bloomsburg Office
BLOOMSBURG – In an effort to showcase the talent of local artists, Rep. David Millard (R-Berwick) is inviting residents of the 109th Legislative District to a public reception from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at his Bloomsburg district office.

“I am thrilled to be able to once again continue my decade-old tradition of giving local artists an opportunity to display their artwork in my legislative offices,” Millard said. “It is sure to be a fantastic night, and I hope many are able to attend.”

This reception will feature the work of three local artists:

- Mary Rose Kutzer, a Numidia resident and Columbia County native who specializes in paintings of local landscapes and rural scenes.
- Rita Millard, a Berwick resident who specializes in rural landscape watercolor paintings.
- Richard Lilley, a Benton resident who specializes in oil painting, particularly steam locomotives, landscapes and wildlife.

All artists are anticipated to be in attendance at the event. Their artwork will be on display in Millard’s offices during the next several weeks.

While at the reception, constituents will also have the opportunity to interact with Millard and his staff on state-related issues and learn more about services available through the representative’s office.

There is no charge to attend the reception and light refreshments will be served. For more information, residents should contact Millard’s office at 570-387-0246. Millard’s Bloomsburg office is located in the Market Street Plaza at 1000 Market St. (Suite 39) in Bloomsburg.

Since early 2004, Millard has displayed local artwork at his legislative offices in Bloomsburg, Berwick and at the state Capitol in Harrisburg.
