Millard to Host Artist Reception at Bloomsburg Legislative Office
BLOOMSBURG – In an effort to showcase the talent of local artists, Rep. David Millard (R-Berwick) invites local residents to a public reception from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at his Bloomsburg district office.

“It’s been a pleasure for me to spotlight artwork from members of the North Mountain Art League in my three legislative offices since I was first elected,” Millard said. “My staff and I receive very favorable comments from those who visit the offices regarding how much they enjoy the opportunity to see beautiful pieces from our talented local artists.”

This reception will feature the work of three local artists:
• Amanda M. Broughton of Berwick, a painter who works in oils and acrylics.
• Michael Silver of Berwick, a painter who focuses on still-life and landscapes.
• Mark Golumb of Bloomsburg, who creates wire bonsai sculptures and paints in oils.
All artists are anticipated to be in attendance at the event. Their artwork will be on display in Millard’s offices during the next several weeks.

While at the reception, constituents will also have the opportunity to interact with Millard and his staff on state-related issues and learn more about services available through the representative’s office.

There is no charge to attend the reception. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call Millard’s office at (570) 387-0246. The office is located in the Market Street Plaza at 1000 Market St. (Suite 39) in Bloomsburg. Plenty of parking is available.

Since early 2004, Millard has displayed local artwork at his legislative offices in Bloomsburg, Berwick and at the state Capitol in Harrisburg.
