Millard to Host Concealed Carry Class in Berwick
BERWICK – State Rep. David Millard (R-Berwick) will host a concealed carry class for firearms on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m.

“There are a lot of misconceptions about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws, and the purpose of this class is to give people the facts,” said Millard.  “We will have two very knowledgeable speakers, and there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.”

The class will be held at the Berwick Reliance Fire Company, located at 501 West 3rd St. in Berwick.

Columbia County District Attorney Thomas E. Leipold will discuss concealed carry laws and will touch on the Castle Doctrine.  Columbia County Sheriff Timothy Chamberlain will discuss how to safely interact with the police while exercising the legal right to carry a firearm.

“We recently presented one of these classes to a packed house in Bloomsburg and participants found it to be very worthwhile,” Millard said.

Space is limited, so interested individuals should RSVP as soon as possible by calling Millard’s district office at 570-387-0246 or logging onto to make a reservation online.
