Millard’s Bloomsburg Office to Offer Free Veterans Outreach Assistance June 4

BLOOMSBURG - Rep. David Millard (R-Millville) will begin offering monthly veterans outreach hours in his Bloomsburg district office on Tuesday, June 4.

During the special hours, a veterans outreach specialist from the American Legion in Wilkes-Barre will be available to meet with local veterans and assist them with issues they may be having accessing benefits and services from the U.S. Veterans Administration.

“The VA system can be a maze for veterans who are simply trying to figure out what sorts of benefits and services are available to them,” Millard said. “I’m pleased to team up with the American Legion to bring a specialist in to offer free assistance to veterans in Columbia County. Simply give my office a call and set up an appointment.”

The veterans outreach specialist will be available the first Tuesday of each month at Millard’s Bloomsburg district office, located at 1000 Market St. in the Market Street Plaza. Plenty of free parking is available and the office is handicapped accessible.

The initial visit will be Tuesday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Appointments are necessary. Please contact Millard’s office at 570-387-0246 for schedule availability.
