Millard to Sponsor Seminar on Farm Transportation Regulations

BLOOMSBURG – In an effort to ensure local farmers and agribusinessmen are up to date on farm transportation regulations, state Rep. David Millard (R-Millville) is sponsoring a seminar on the topic.  The event will start at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, at the Locust Township building, 1223 Numidia Drive in Catawissa.

“Recent updates in laws that govern farm transportation can potentially affect the safety of all drivers,” Millard said. “Farmers and those who haul agricultural products need to know how these changes affect them and their daily activities.”

Trooper David L. Peters of the Pennsylvania State Police, (Troop N, Hazelton Headquarters) will lead the seminar. Additional presentations will be made by representatives of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

There is no charge to attend the event; however, those wishing to attend the forum must RSVP to Millard’s office by calling 570-387-0246 no later than Wednesday, April 3.
