Millard Announces May Mobile Veterans Center Visit
BLOOMSBURG – Rep. David Millard (R-Millville) announced the next visit to Columbia County by the Department of Veterans Affairs’ mobile veterans center, which provides services to veterans and their families.

The mobile vet center visit will take place on Friday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The mobile vet center will be located in the parking lot of the TPC Powercenter, located at the intersection of Tenny Street and Route 11, just north of Bloomsburg.

“The United States Department of Veterans Affairs operates the mobile veterans center in order to make services easily available in more rural areas,” Millard said.

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs operates the mobile veterans center to reach veterans in underserved areas. There are several mobile vet centers in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States.

Some of the services provided through the center include: 

        • Individual and group counseling. 
        • Marital and family counseling. 
        • Bereavement counseling. 
        • Medical referrals. 
        • Assistance in applying for VA benefits. 
        • Employment counseling, guidance and referrals. 
        • Alcohol and drug assessments. 
        • Information and referrals to community resources.
