Millard to Host Artist Reception at Bloomsburg Legislative Office

In an effort to showcase the talent of local artists, Rep. David Millard (R-Millville) invites local residents to a public reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, at his Bloomsburg district office.

“Artwork from members of the North Mountain Art League has brought beauty to the walls of my three legislative offices for a number of years now,” Millard said. “Visitors to my offices often comment on how much they enjoy the opportunity to see our local artisans’ talent.”

Work from photographer Doug Brubaker, Elysburg; painter Janet Dunay-Robinson, Danville; and painter, Shene Woodley, Bloomsburg, will be featured at the reception. All artists are anticipated to be in attendance at the event. Their artwork will be on display in Millard’s offices during the next several weeks.

There is no charge to attend the reception. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call Millard’s office at (570) 387-0246. The office is located at 605 West Main St. in Bloomsburg.

Since early 2004, Millard has displayed local artwork at his legislative offices in Bloomsburg, Berwick and at the state Capitol in Harrisburg.
