HARRISBURG – State Rep. David Millard (R-Columbia) today announced that the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC) has awarded $334,111 in grants to volunteer first responder organizations in the 109th legislative district through the COVID-19 Crisis Fire, Rescue and EMS Grant program. The purpose of this funding is to provide financial relief and assistance to first responder organizations that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 mitigation measures and have lost revenues over the last several months.
HARRISBURG – State Rep. David Millard (R-Columbia) today announced that the House of Representatives has failed to overturn the governor’s veto of House Bill 2787, which would allow decisions regarding school sports and spectators to be made by local school districts rather than by statewide mandate. The motion failed with a vote of 130-71, short of the 2/3 majority needed to overturn.
HARRISBURG – State Rep. David Millard (R-Columbia) today announced that Columbia County has been awarded two grants totaling $1 million for two flood control studies in Columbia County. HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 1108, which would distribute approximately $2.6 billion in federal relief funds throughout Pennsylvania’s counties as well as across various state government departments. Of that total, $625 million is allocated to 60 Pennsylvania counties who have not yet received funds directly from the federal government. Rep.
